The University of Seville is organising an international conference on ‘Gender in sports: addressing homophobia and sexism in football’. At the symposium a book about gender and sports in physical education will be presented and the exhibition ‘Lesbians and gays in sports’ premiered.

The event will be broadcast on the University website.

The Spanish organisation is hosting a one-day conference with national and international speakers to raise awareness and encourage dialogue on the issues around discrimination in the European football. The event will be held in Madrid and will gather representatives in the frame of a previous conference organised in April and will also celebrate the inclusive power of football.

Associació de Petits i Mitjans Accionistes de l'Espanyol (APMAE)

21 – 24 October

The Spanish association is hosting a colloquium about discrimination and integration in football. As part of the initiative, there will be a gathering for network and exchange good practices.

Brigadas Amarillas

19 – 20 October

Brigadas Amarillas are organising an intercultural football tournament that will feature a fan choreography and other interactive activities to engage the audience such as a fanzone.

CAP Ciudad de Murcia

27 October

The football club from Murcia is organising anti-racism activities before their home match kick-off on 27th October. These activities include the distribution of informative flyers and a lunch for communities that are often target of discrimination and abuse. Moreover, the club’s players wear anti-racist messages on their jerseys.

Colectivo CEPA

13 – 20 August

The Spanish NGO is organising a match between professional players and a regional Senegalese collective on 13 October.
A number of activities will run until 20th October, among them a street soccer tournament for children, an indoor football tournament for youngsters and a workshop on folk customs and traditions of Senegal, with Senegalese music and cuisine.

Extremadura Femenino CF

13 – 20 October

The Spanish football club based in Almendralejo is organising several activities in celebration of the Football People Action Weeks 2013. On 13th October the message ‘No to racism, no to violence’ feature the match between the home team and Real Betis. There will be a photo shooting with the two teams wearing Fare Football People t-shirts and informative material will be distributed.
On the 20th October a friendly match will be played between Extremadura and a regional team.

Familias por la Diversidad

15 – 29 October

The NGO is hosting several anti-discrimination activities in October as part of Fare action weeks.

Between 15 and 29 October an ad against homophobic language in football will be shown on a regional television channel.
On 18th there will be the premiere of the “Lesbians and gays in sports” exhibition. On the same day there will be lessons at local high schools on the subject of ‘sports and homosexuality’.

The final activity is a football match on the 20th of October, in which anti-discrimination information will be distributed among the audience and participants.

The initiative is being organised along with Mujeres por la Diversidad, Solidarios Sport, Jovenes Enfys and Federación Andaluza Arco Iris.

15 – 29 October

Between 15 and 29 October a TV ad against the use of homophobic language in football stadiums will be shown on the regional TV channel.

On 18th the anti-homophobia campaign will premiere the exhibition ‘Lesbians and gays in sports’.
Talks and anti-homophobia football matches will also be organised to create awareness around the topic among the youth of Marbella.

All activities are being organised in collaboration with Familias por la Diversidad, Solidarios Sport, Jovenes Enfys and Mujeres por la Diversidad.

15 – 20 October

The Spanish NGO from Guadix Granada is hosting several anti-homophia activities throughout October. From 15th until 29th a TV ad against homophobic language in football will be shown on the regional channel.

On 18th there will be lessons at local high schools under the subject “sports and homosexuality”.

On 20th October members of the NGO will distribute anti-discrimination informative material at a match for the local youth.

All these activities are organised in collaboration with Familias por la Diversidad, Solidarios Sport, Federación Andaluza Arco Iris and Mujeres por la Diversidad. 

Kolectivo Sur

Kolectivo Sur is organising anti-discrimination activities to take place at the Xerez Desportivo match. Fan choreographies, the display of a banner reading ‘United against racism’ and the distribution of stickers against racism are some of those.

People from underprivileged groups and ethnic minorities will be invited to attend the match. More info will follow soon.

Mujeres por la Diversidad

15 – 29 October

The NGO will premiere a series of initiatives focusing on homophobia and sports.

A TV creating awareness on the use of homophobic language will be broadcast on the regional channel of Andalusia for the two weeks of the Football People campaign.

On 18th October, Mujeres por la Diversidad will premiere the exhibition ‘Lesbian and gays in sports’.

On 20th October there will be an anti-homophobia football tournament for the Huelva’s youth.
All activities are part of a broader programme that is being organised between the organisation and Familias por la Diversidad, Solidarios Sport, Jovenes Enfys and Federación Andaluza Arco Iris.

Solidarios Sport, Linares

15 – 29 October

Solidarios Sport will run several anti-discrimination activities in October.
From 15th until 29th a TV ad against homophobic language in football will be shown on the regional television channel.
On 18th talks around sports and homophobia will take place in local high schools.

On 20th October there will be a football match for the local youth in which flyers and other anti-discrimination resources will be given to the audience.

These activities are organised in cooperation with the Spanish organisations Familias por la Diversidad, Federación Andaluza Arco Iris, Jovenes Enfys and Mujeres por la Diversidad.

Valencia C.F.

The Spanish La Liga football club is organising an activity before a home match. The players will line-up with Fare t-shirts and a large banner and flags will be displayed showing anti-racist messages.

The club is also produce an anti-racist video.
