National Children’s Football Alliance

8 October, Cirencester

National Children’s Football Alliance will facilitate a Black Lives Matter workshop for 14 to 18 year olds, represented by mixed gender, mixed ability, migrants, refugees, comprehensive and integrated schools. They will discover the importance of sport in conflict resolution and the lives of black and Asian soldiers that fought and played football at the 1914 Christmas Truces and a better understanding of multi-culturalism and the importance of why Black Lives Matter is a living history.

The impact will give young people confidence to challenge history, contextualise their heritage and ultimately, produce a policy proposal to the United Nations for including Black Lives Matter into peace education resources for International Day of Peace
