A football match is bringing together Polisportiva Independiente and REFUGEES ALL STARS, a team constituted of asylum seekers living in Vicenza, to play the Opti’ Poba Cup.

Later on the day, Polisportiva Jackie Tonawanda will host the premier of the ‘Fora da Copa’, a documentary on the FIFA World Cup in Brazil and the social movements that arose during the built-up to sporting mega event.

On 29 October, the organisers will launch a weekly free boxing programme for refugees, asylum seekers and immigrants, who were living in Lampedusa.[:]
