The photo exhibition, which will focus on the participation of women and ethnic minorities in football, will be held both at the Shkoder city council and the city’s football club and open to the general public. The latter venue is also hosting the football tournament.

Two female players will be lending their support to the events as facilitators.

Both activities will bring together youth and children from local Roma communities, four amateur teams of Shkoder, Ana and the Malit communes, and local governing authorities.

13-19 October, Shkoder

A workshop addressing discrimination in sport is hoping to open a debate in Albania and foster a strategy that will use sport as a tool for peace and tolerance.

The event will shed light on current cases of discrimination in sport and will raise awareness of how to prevent and tackle these situations.

Thirty people, among them journalists, youngsters, sport leaders and ethnic minority group delegates, are expected to attend the event.

The Albania Youth Parliament, the European Movement, Dimension Human NGO and the city council of Shkoder have joined forces with Young Intellectuals, Hope for the event.
