Fare Network Switzerland

13 – 25 October, several cities

Fare Network Switzerland is running a series of activities at professional and grassroots level and with supporters as part of the Football People weeks.

To help raise the profile of the campaign, all team captains of the Swiss Raiffeisen Super and Brack Challenge leagues will engage supporters in the fight against discrimination through a video and photos featuring anti-discrimination messages, which can be seen on the organisation’s website and Facebook. Both online platforms will also advertise contests and other opportunities related to the campaign for fans.

An offocial launch of the campaign will be organised by FARE and halbzeit, and other partners of the action weeks, and will include a reception before the Young Boys Bern – FC Basel match, in the halbzeit fan-bar. This will present the campaign and celebrate the Action Weeks in Switzerland.

Fussbelle

25 October

The female football project Fussbelle is running a street football tournament as part of the Football People weeks.

Halbzeit – Gemeinsam gegen Rassismus

18 and 25 October, Bern

Halbzeit – Gemeinsam gegen Rassismus is organising a stadium choreography along with refugees, migrants and youngsters to support Young Boys Bern during their match against FC Basel on 18 October.

On 25 October, the fan group will also run an anti-racism football fan tournament with the support and participation of other  fan groups and refugee teams in Bern.

Queer Football Fanclubs

Queer Football Fanclubs is running a series of activities during the match-day dedicated to the campaign, along with the fans groups WankdorfJunxx of Young Boys Bern, Queerpass Basel of FC Basel and LetziJunxx of FC Zurich.

Swiss Football Association

18 – 20 October, several cities

The Swiss Football League and Football Association are dedicating a day of the top five men leagues and top two female leagues to the Fare action weeks. The match-day is looking to tackle violence and discrimination in Swiss football.

In the EURO 2016 qualifying matches against Slovenia and San Marino, the Swiss national team will also engage in the campaign.

Swiss Football League

18-20 October, several cities

Between 18 and 20 October, the Swiss Football League and Football Association are dedicating a match-day of the top five men leagues and top two female leagues to the Fare action weeks. The match is looking to tackle violence and discrimination in Swiss football.

The teams will line up next to anti-discrimination banners wearing special campaign t-shirts for a picture.

All team captains will also wear a ‘NO TO RACISM’ armband.

Swiss Minorities Sports Culture & Integration

25 October, Biel

A regional football tournament, hosted by human rights organisation Swiss Minors, is bringing together migrant communities in Biel to promote inclusion and empower them through football.

The initiative aims to show the participants how sport can help them develop their potentials and excel in every aspect of life they engage in.

The activity is being develop in collaboration with Aids Hilfe Bern.

Young Boys Bern

18 October, Bern

The jerseys of Young Boys Bern will be auctioned to support the fan project Fanarbeit Bern after their match against FC Basel on 18 October.
