Policy Center for Roma and Minorities Foundation, in partnership with the Romanian Football Federation, is organising a round table on “Participatory methods for combating racism through football in Romania” on 21 October.
The round table aims to identify innovative tools for combating racism in Romanian football, through an integrated analysis of the current social context. Representatives of the civil society, anti-discrimination public institutions and experts from the Romanian Football Federation will explore good practice models used at international level and are defining a framework for developing a national initiative.
The event aims at creating a long term inter-institutional collaboration framework and will be a mile stone for implementing a well-adapted method to the challenges faced in Romania. The main topics are racism towards minorities, with a special focus on the local Roma population.[:]
