Building on the support to the Football People weeks in previous years, Austrian football clubs will in 2016 continue to further the message of inclusion at their matches.

Men’s and women’s Bundesliga matches and First League games will be dedicated to the campaign, in an initiative promoted in partnership with the Fare member Fairplay.

Matches including SK Rapid Wien v SCR Altach, FC Admira Wacker v SKN St. Pölten and SK Sturm Graz v SV Ried, will be marking the campaign by displaying anti-discrimination banners, captains wearing rainbow colours armbands making the fight against homophobia visible, speeches before games and the promotion of No To Racism content through clubs’ online and media channels.

In the games including SV Mattersburg and FK Austria Wien, FC Blau Weiß Linz and SV Horn players and the mascots will be wearing t-shirts with messages No Place For Racism and Sports Welcomes Refugees.

Similar activities will be held at the matches of LASK Linz, WSG Wattens and SC Austria Lustenau and SCR Altach, as well as Europa League games involving Red Bull Salzburg, SK Rapid and FK Austria Wien.
