For the second consecutive year, SARI will depart in an expedition across Ireland delivering anti-discrimination football training workshops in primary schools, community groups, youth centre, refugee communities and direct provision centres where asylum-seekers are sheltered.
The event will engage over 2500 people and its focus is to promote the social inclusion of migrants/refugees and to educate young people about all forms of discrimination.
Friendly matches will be organised between Airtricty League clubs, Ireland’s premier league clubs including Europa League qualifier Dundalk FC, Shamrock Rovers, Sligo Rovers and many others, and their local Direct Provision Centre or refugee community.
The football roadshow will occur during Football People action weeks 6 to 20 October in all 26 counties of the Republic of Ireland.
