As part of the #FootballPeople weeks and Black History Month, Rotherham United Community Sports Trust aims to raise awareness with year 9 students about racism and discrimination by using the English professional footballer Walter Tull’s story as a way to discuss racially motivated barriers in sport and how to overcome them.
