[:en]The Glass Ceiling in European Football [:]

In a nutshell

The Glass Ceiling in European Football report, published by Fare and commissioned by UEFA, looks into the levels of representation of visible ethnic minorities and women in leadership positions in European football. It also explores the experiences of elite level ethnic minority coaches in countries including England, France and the Netherlands.

Numbers show that 95.8% of all senior governance positions at elite level clubs, national leagues and UEFA are held by white men; and that among 672 senior coaching positions in elite men’s and women’s football in seven European countries only 3.4% were held by ethnic minority men and nil by ethnic minority women.

The report also makes a series of recommendations for professional clubs, national leagues, federations and UEFA to address the under-representation of women and ethnic minorities at the different levels of the game.
