Established in 2005, the European Football Supporters Award, this year at its sixth edition. With the support of UEFA and its president Michel Platini, the organizers continue to pursue the goal they have set, namely to change the mindset in stadiums by promoting an atmosphere of conviviality. To follow this goal, EFSA annually reward a group of supporters or an association that develops positive action around a passion: football.
The 2010 edition of the price which is always endowed with 6,000€ in cash and the deadline for applications is 31 October 2010.
The aim of the organisers is still making its football feast, and to achieve this goal, they know that only have the true values of sport: respect for the opponent, along with his moral and physical integrity, respect for the referee, its function and its decisions, encouraging loyal to his favourite team, the acceptance of defeat, and fair play in the broadest sense.
In four years, the European Football Supporters Award awarded alternately groups who had protested against racism in all its forms, which had advocated the tolerance on the stadium bleachers, which had made the honour the hospitality towards visitors, who had worked for the education of young fans and, finally, who had facilitated the integration of disabled people around the land.
