Del Bosque heads star line-up for FARE Malaga conference03 October 2011

Spain coach Vicente Del Bosque will be the guest speaker at a one-day conference organised by the FARE network with the Extratime Foundation later this month.

The conference Sharing Values: Social Inclusion, Best Practices in Spanish Football, is to be hosted at Malaga University in the ancient splendour of Malaga City. It will be a key event as part of the 2011 FARE Action Weeks in Spain.

Speakers will include practitioners from across professional and grassroots football in Spain including FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, Athletico Madrid and the Andulucia FA.

They will be joined by Spanish FA President Ángel Maria Villar; Spanish Sports Minister Alber Soler; Sevilla FC and Mali striker Fréderic Kanouté, William Gaillard of UEFA; and, the President of La Liga, José Luis Astiazarán Iriondo.

Representatives from long- term FARE partner Red Deporte will join Piara Powar and FARE ambassador, La Liga referee Jose Luis Romero.

Best Practice in Social Inclusion and Education
The conference is the first event of its kind, looking at initiatives in Spain with a view to sharing good practice and furthering debates on football’s crucial role in society.

The organising partnership includes the Spanish FA, the University of Malaga and Malaga City Council.

Extratime as a key FARE partner in Spain will encourage future initiatives on these themes with football clubs, institutions, NGO’s and local, regional and national governments.
