Erasmus+Sportsprogramme QueeringFootballandthe EuropeanGay&LesbianSportFederation(EGLSF)areorganising aEuroPrideHouseinUtrechtforthe UEFAWomen’sEuroChampionship2017.
Euro Pride House Utrecht will play a host to a range of sport, cultural and art events on themes including women’s football, LGBTIQ inclusion and breaking down social and personal barriers.
The opening will take place on the afternoon of the 16 July at 5pm at the Bodytalk bar, where Karin Blankenstein, founder of the John Blankenstein Foundation will launch the initiative and present the Erasmus+ project “Heroes of Football”.
The Bodytalk Bar will be the focal point for the championships and have provided space for activities that will take place over the two weeks of the tournament.
The space will be used for informal discussions, meetings and will show part of the “Against The Rules” exhibition, in particular the two new panels created for the Queering Football Project.
During the matches in Utrecht – Sunday 16 July, Wednesday 19 July, Saturday 22 July and Tuesday 25 July – the basement will be open to the public, where matches will be live streamed.
