Anti- racism fanzines produced by FARE for the World Cup have proved extremely popular with fans visiting Germany from all over the World.
The FARE Football Unites! fanzines feature statements against racism in football from some of the World's biggest names including David Beckham, Zinedine Zidane, Michael Ballack and Juan Pablo Sorin. The publication, which is in both English and German, also features an exclusive interview on racism in the game with the World Player of the Year and FIFA anti- racism ambassador, Ronaldinho. FARE was provided with the interview from Deutsche Welle TV.
FARE campaigners and the coordination office of German fan projects (KOS) have been distributing the fanzines to thousands of football fans at games all over Germany. A total of 35000 fanzines will be distributed during the tournament.
The fanzines will be available at the following Street Kick events over next week:
- 20 June England vs Sweden, Cologne
- 21 June Holland vs Argentina, Frankfurt
- 22 June Japan vs Brazil, Dortmund
- 23 June Togo vs France, Cologne
