Nations unite together in Ireland01 June 2006

Players from the 32 nations represented in the World Cup, came together for a football tournament in Ireland, prior to their countrymen playing in the real thing. The players, made up from immigrants living throughout Ireland, converged on Dublin on 27 & 28 May 2006 for the friendly tournament.

Organised by FARE partner, Sport Against Racism in Ireland (SARI), the tournament hoped to bring together different nationalities in a spirit of friendship and unity. A special guest team comprised of Israelis and Palestinians also competed.
