West Ham's Israeli midfielder, Yossi Benayoun, claims to have been a victim of racism at the match between Israel and Andorra.
He accused Andorra coach David Rodrigo of saying Israelis were “murderers”. Rodrigo is also alleged to have said: “You're a country of criminals. You fire rockets at civilians and kill children.”
The incident took place just as a throw-in was about to be taken by the Israeli player, who responded to Rodrigo by showing him two fingers to remind him that Israel were leading 2-0 at the time.
Meanwhile the chairman of the Israeli Football Association said a complaint would be lodged with UEFA, and the Andorran minister for sport has written to the country's football federation, instructing it to launch an enquiry. The government has said that Rodrigo will face disciplinary sanctions if it can be proved that he made the remarks.
