Step Up Equality project launches questionnaires on gender equality and leadership in women’s sport - can you help?

The Erasmus+ project Step Up Equality is requesting information to assess and evaluate the needs for training and stakeholder engagement to promote women’s leadership in sports in Europe.

Two questionnaires have been created to collect opinions and experiences from athletes and leaders, and are available in English, German, Polish, Italian, Swedish and Dutch.

The questionnaires will help provide important insights on the experiences of athletes and leaders in sports, and will contribute to a needs analysis to help further develop the project's aims. We would like to get the opinions of athletes and leaders to inform our work.

The Step Up Equality (SUE) Project is a three-year project funded by the European Commission, starting in January 2019 running until December 2021.

The main objective of this proposal is to promote leadership for women and gender equality and challenge gender-based discrimination in grassroots sport across Europe, through the cooperation and the exchange of best practices and expertise between different sports. Ultimately, the project's basic aim is to push for much-needed change towards an equal and more inclusive sport.

The Fare network are partners on this project along with Associazone Nazionale Atlete (Italy), Stowarzyszenie na Rzecz Demokracji W Sporcie - Association Democracy in Sport (Poland), DISCOVER FOOTBALL (Germany), GEA COOP Sociale (Italy), Girls in Sport (Sweden) and Women Win (Netherlands).

Please help us in our research for this by filling in the questionnaires below or sharing with any athletes or sports leaders you may know.

The deadline to complete the surveys is July 10th.
