UEFA buries racism02 September 2004

To mark its Golden Jubilee year, UEFA has buried a time capsule at its Nyon headquarters in western Switzerland. The capsule, to be opened in 50 years time, was sealed at a ceremony attended by UEFA chief executive Lars-Christer Olsson. The capsule contains a wealth of football paraphernalia donated by some of Europe’s top clubs.

More importantly, included is one of UEFA’s “Unite Against Racism” campaign T-shirts. What will future generations think of that? What will their attitude be towards racism in football?
